Pursuant to a notice posted on August 15, 2023, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on August 15, 2023, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 8:05 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Martinez; Bailes; Collier; Flores; Garcia; Holland; Morrison; and Troxclair.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 8484.

The chair recognized Representative Buckley to explain HB 8484.

The chair recognized Representative Buckley to close on HB 8484.

The chair moved that HB 8484, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
