Pursuant to a notice posted on July 31, 2024, a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on August 8, 2024, and permission granted on August 8, 2024, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Longoria, at 10:00 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Longoria; Vasut; Cole; Frazier; González, Jessica; Hinojosa; Isaac; Lambert; and Neave Criado.

The chair laid out HB 207 on subcommittee report.

Representative Vasut moved that HB 207, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
